The club had always dreamed of having tennis courts but could not provide tennis facilities due to the prohibitive cost. At last in 1952 the club found an angel guardian in Hon. Sheikh Mahfood Mackwai who very generously undertook to bear all expenses of building tennis courts. The work dragged on for another two years and the courts were finally opened to public in 1954 with Majid Cockert assisting to maintain courts for the first class tennis.

W e are proud to say that the club had he honour to produce such notables as Majid Cocker, Saeed Cocker and Salim Rana who shone on the tennis horizons like stars.

In 1955 Saeed Cocker and Ghalib played in the Goan Institute Golden Jubilee Tournament and won a handsome trophy. In the same year Saeed Cocker won the singles tennis championship by defeating Mayers, the then reigning champions. Saeed In partnership brother Majid also won the doubles tournament. Our players Saeed, Majid, and Ghalib were a real force I tennis.

However, interest in tennis was only short lived and efforts to revive the dwindling interest in the game in 1971 by Waheed and Hafeez Cocker bore some fruits. In 1973 we became double champions by winning the East Kind Cup and Mcmillain Cup.
